IT major Infosys has announced a significant bonus for its employees. Eligible staff will receive up to 85% of their variable pay for the second quarter of the financial year ending September 30, 2025, as reported by Moneycontrol. The employees were informed about the payouts via letters on November 25 and 26.

The bonus applies to employees in Band 6 and below, covering junior to mid-level roles eligible for quarterly bonuses. The actual payout will be determined by individual performance.

This development comes in the wake of reports that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reduced variable pay for its senior employees during the same quarter due to weak demand. While some TCS employees received only 20-40% of their variable payout, others reportedly received none, despite adhering to the company’s work-from-office policy. Infosys, in contrast, has not linked variable pay to such policies.

During the second quarter, Infosys posted a sequential net profit growth of 2.2%, reaching ₹6,506 crore, and a revenue increase of 4.2% to ₹40,986 crore. For the second consecutive quarter, the company raised the 2024-25 fiscal year revenue guidance to 3.75 to 4.50% in revenue in the fiscal year April 2024 to March 2025, up from the 3-4% band it had given in the previous quarter.

In the July-September period, the second-largest IT services firm reported a net addition of 2,456 employees taking the total headcount to 317,788 from 315,332 at the end of the previous quarter.
