Ranbir made his debut into films with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya, and he had Sonam Kapoor as his lead actress.Ranbir, in an interview for Animal, shared that Anil Kapoor kept the promise he made to him back in 2007. He said, “Anil Sir is very particular about his age and playing father roles, but I remember he came to me on the sets, and said whenever there will be an opportunity , I will make sure I will play your father on screen and he kept his promise. Anil Sir is a living legend.”

Anil Kapoor and Ranbir are touted to be back together once again, for the sequel of Animal which is currently titled as Animal Park. But that is still a couple of years away, as Sandeep is going to get busy with Spirit with Prabhas and Ranbir also has his hands full, first with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan, and then Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
