CBSE Board 2025: Practical exam dates for classes 10, 12 announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the practical exam dates for Classes 10 and 12. The practical exams, project works and internal assessment for the 2024–25 academic session are scheduled to take place from January 1, 2025, for all the CBSE-affiliated schools.

Students preparing for the board exams can check the schedule on the official CBSE website at https://www.cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse.html.

The theory exams will begin on February 15, 2025; however, the completed date sheet is awaited.

“The Practical Examinations/ IA for class X and XIl and the Board’s Annual Theory Examinations are scheduled to start w.e.f. 01/01/2025 and 15/02/2025 respectively,” the CBSE circular read.

The board also attached a list of subjects for both classes to help schools conduct the practical exams smoothly.

The details attached with the circular for information include class, subject code, subject name, maximum marks for theory exam, maximum marks for practical exam, maximum marks for project assessment, and maximum marks for internal assessment.

Additionally, the circular also mentioned whether an external examiner will be appointed for the CBSE practical exam assessment, whether or not practical answer books will be provided to the students and the type of answer books to be used in the theory exams.

The board has also stated that the maximum marks allotted to each subject are 100, with marks distributed among theory, practical, project, and internal assessment components.

“All may note information and action to avoid any inconvenience to the students at later stages. Also, ensure that correct marks are uploaded. Marks once uploaded will not be changed,” the circular added.
