Karan Johar posts cryptic message after Jaaved Jaaferi mocks Adar Poonawalla's 50 per cent stake acquisition in Dharma Productions: 'Competition happens at the bottom...' | Hindi Movie News

Karan Johar recently made waves in the industry by selling a 50 per cent stake in Dharma Productions to Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute. Though the reason behind Johar’s search for an investor remains unclear, the acquisition has stirred considerable excitement. Amid this, Karan posted a cryptic Instagram story after Jaaved Jaaferi reacted to Karan’s business deal. The post read, “Competition happens at the bottom. The people at the top are collaborating,” which fans believe hints at the partnership with Poonawalla.

Adar Poonawalla, who acquired half of Dharma Productions in his personal capacity, is now set to support Johar in taking the company forward. Reflecting on the collaboration, Karan shared, “From its inception, Dharma Productions has been synonymous with heartfelt storytelling that captures the essence of Indian culture. My father dreamed of creating films that would leave a lasting impact, and I’ve dedicated my career to expanding that vision. Today, as we join forces with Adar, a close friend, and an exceptional visionary and innovator, we’re poised to elevate Dharma’s legacy to new heights. This partnership represents a perfect blend of our emotional storytelling prowess and forward-thinking business strategies.”
Jaaved humorously reacted to the business deal by reposting the news and mockingly announcing Karan Johar’s ‘next film.’ He wrote, “Next film: Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Serum,” leaving fans in stitches. Many joined in on the fun, suggesting their own creative titles. One fan commented, “Vaccine ke baad se Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” while another joked, “Covi Khushi ., Covi Gham.”
