Rohit Bal was admired for his ability to bring India’s cultural heritage to life through modern fashion. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) honored Rohit Bal in a heartfelt Instagram post, saying, “We mourn the passing of legendary designer Rohit Bal. As a founding member, he reshaped Indian fashion with his blend of traditional motifs and modern flair. His artistry and vision will live on. Rest in peace, GUDDA. You are a legend.”
Rohit Bal had been dealing with heart-related health issues for years, beginning with a heart attack in 2010. Recently, his health took a downturn with worsening pancreatitis, resulting in multiple hospitalizations. After a sudden collapse, he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, raising concerns about his well-being among loved ones and fans.
