Actress Aditi Govitrikar recently opened up about losing a film and recalled shooting some scenes in South Africa. She also spoke about what kept her away from films.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actress expressed her disappointment over losing a film project but chose not to reveal its name or the reasons behind it. She clarified that her marital status was not a factor. Reflecting on the experience, she shared that she was replaced after filming began but didn’t dwell on the reasons, as her primary focus at the time was modeling. She acknowledged that some filmmakers might avoid casting married actors, but she was okay with it.

Aditi also opened up about her absence from films, stating that she has been waiting for meaningful projects. She explained that she isn’t avoiding the big screen but is looking for roles that resonate with her. She credited OTT platforms for offering her engaging roles and enjoyable scripts, which motivated her to pursue them.

On the work front, Aditi is set to return as Kalpana Singh, Rishi’s mother, in Mismatched Season 3. The series stars Rohit Saraf as Rishi and Prajakta Koli as Dimple in lead roles. The new season is scheduled to premiere on December 13, 2024.
On the personal front, Aditi Govitrikar married Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala in 1998 after dating him for seven years. However, their marriage ended after 11 years. The couple has two children, daughter Kiara and son Zhiaan.
