AIA Engineering Q2 Results | Net profit declines 21% to ₹257 crore, revenue falls 28% ₹1,044 crore

AIA Engineering Ltd (AIEL) on Wednesday (October 30) reported a 20.5% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹256.7 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2024.

In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, AIA Engineering posted a net profit of ₹323 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations slides 19.4% to ₹1,044.2 crore as against ₹1,294.8 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.

At the operating level, EBITDA dropped 28% to ₹275.7 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹382 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

EBITDA margin stood at 26.4% in the reporting quarter as compared to 29.5% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.

AIA Engineering reported a capital expenditure of 93 crore for the first half of FY 2025, supporting its installed capacity of 460,000 TPA. The company’s order book stood at 655 crore as of October 1, 2024.

Additionally, as of October 30, 2024, AIA Engineering has outstanding foreign currency forward contracts totalling $50.55 million and AUD 30.05 million in sales contracts.

Shares of AIA Engineering Ltd ended at ₹3,928.70, up by ₹17.20, or 0.44% on the BSE.
