Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sister-in-law Shrima Rai gives a shoutout to the actor’s mother for her battle against cancer: ‘She wasn’t looking…’ |
Cancer is like a slow poison that infects not just the one who has the ailment but leaves a mark on the hearts of those around. Thus, many times people refrain from talking about cancer when they or a family member of theirs is fighting the battle. However, they didn’t shy away from showering appreciation on the survivors. An example of the same was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s last year’s post where she revealed her mother battled with cancer. Now, Aishwarya’s sister-in-law Shrima has also taken to her social media handle to share an appreciation post about her mother-in-law Brindya Rai’s cancer battle.
Shrima started her post by sharing how Brindya was her support system. Thereafter, she wrote about her cancer fight, gave a shoutout to her, and mentioned that earlier, she didn’t post anything as she respected her mother-in-law’s privacy during the challenging times.
“A big shoutout to my MIL for all the support and love and babysitting the kids while I went on my getaway. While she underwent cancer, I refrained from posting her too much because she wasn’t looking her best and I respect her privacy,” wrote Shrima as she shared a picture of herself with Brindya. To celebrate the courage of Brindya, Shrima put a crown emoticon on her head.
Last year, on the occasion of her birthday, Aishwarya revealed that in early 2023 her mother was diagnosed with cancer. “Okay, I don’t know if I should be saying this, but Cancer has touched our lives personally. First it was my dad and my mum got it earlier this year but she has come out of it, with the support of so many incredible doctors and a lot of love and blessings from everyone,” Aishwarya said at an event organized for cancer patients and survivors.
