Ananya Panday, who recently starred in web thriller CTRL, opened up about her favorite kind of influencer content and shared a humorous story involving Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan.
Ananya admitted that she used to film daily vlogs herself, but never posted them online. However, those private videos became a source of playful blackmail from her childhood friend Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan’s brother.Ananya shared the anecdote during a chat with her CTRL director Vikramaditya Motwane and co-star Vihaan Samat in a video.
She said, “I used to record what I do in a day and what I eat in a day, but not post it anywhere. I have it! PhotoBooth had just come out on Apple, and me, Suhana and Shanaya used to record stuff, and Aryan used to threaten us that he would leak those videos if we didn’t do work for him.”
Laughing off the memory, Ananya humorously described it as a “random trauma story,” to which the host of the conversation, comedian Tanmay Bhat, jokingly added, “Somebody needs to have a word with Aryan.” Ananya continued, “We used to do makeup videos, and still, when I’m getting ready, I sometimes talk in the mirror. It’s a little weird.”

Ananya, the daughter of Chunky Panday, is close friends with Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor, and Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan. This is not the first internet-related story involving Suhana that Ananya has shared. In a previous interview, Ananya confessed that she accidentally shared Suhana’s phone number on Instagram, which led to Suhana’s phone being hacked.
In addition to these amusing internet mishaps, Ananya also revealed on the seventh season of Koffee with Karan that she had a childhood crush on Aryan Khan. She admitted, “He is cute. I did have a crush on him while growing up. The reason why it didn’t fructify… well, ask him.”
In CTRL, Ananya plays an online content creator who gets caught up in a conspiracy. Reflecting on her role, she revealed in an interview that she enjoys watching daily vlogs and drew inspiration for her performance from her cousin Alanna Panday and Alanna’s husband, Ivor McCray.
