AR Rahman’s lawyer makes comments on his divorce with Saira Banu: ‘They were clear of…’ |
Lawyer Vandana Shah recently shared that the couple wished to separate respectfully and thanked the media and fans for respecting their privacy.
Vandana noted that while separations often lead to speculation, they usually remain private for non-celebrities. However, in this case, it involved AR Rahman, a legendary Oscar-winning figure. She appreciated how both the couple and the media handled the situation with dignity, setting an example for managing high-profile divorces gracefully.
The lawyer reflected on the couple’s joint statement, emphasizing that the end of any marriage, especially a long one, is deeply painful. It impacts families and shared friendships, making such breakups challenging. Despite the heartbreak, the separation was approached with dignity and optimism, aiming to focus on a positive way forward.
When asked about Rahman’s use of the hashtag ‘#arrsairaabreakup,’ she declined to provide any comments.
Earlier, Vandana dismissed rumors linking Rahman’s separation to bassist Mohini Dey’s divorce from Mark Hartsuch. She clarified in an interview that there is absolutely no connection, stating that Rahman and Saira made their decision independently.
She also described the couple as genuinely committed individuals who did not take their decision lightly, emphasizing that their marriage was not a sham. She also stated that the divorce is amicable and clarified that financial matters have not been discussed yet.
