Avanti Feeds Q2 Results | Shrimp feed producer posts 53% net profit growth, margins up

Avanti Feeds Ltd, a leading shrimp feed, processor, and exporter, on Thursday (November 14) reported a 53.2% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹113.7 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Avanti Feeds posted a net profit of ₹74.2 crore.

The company’s revenue from operations increased 6% to ₹1,355 crore against ₹1,278 crore in the same quarter of the preceding fiscal.

At the operating level, EBITDA surged 44.3% YoY to ₹135.6 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹94 crore in Q2 FY24.

The EBITDA margin stood at 10% in the reporting quarter against 7.4% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.

The Hyderabad-based company is a leading producer of shrimp feed. It operates with a coherent supply chain and a farm-to-fork model using a vertically integrated infrastructure of aquaculture farms, feed mills, hatcheries and processing plants. The company also exports feed products to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Avanti Feeds Ltd ended at ₹580.50, up by ₹14.70, or 2.60%, on the BSE.
