Avengers Assemble for Kamala Harris: Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and other Marvel stars REUNITE to encourage fans to vote |
The Avengers have assembled.
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Mark Ruffalo, the four of the OG 6 in Marvel’s ‘Avengers’ film franchise, reunited in support to Kamala Harris as the next President of the United States.
In a first off-screen reunion since starring together in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the stars, in a video appealed to fans to make their voices heard in the upcoming 2024 elections. The video, released on social media, features Robert (Iron Man), Chris (Captain America), Scarlett (Black Widow), Mark (Hulk), Paul Bettany (Vision), Danai Gurira (0koye) and Don Cheadle (War Machine) passionately encouraging fans to vote and take a stand on critical issues facing the nation and the world at large.
The video sees the Avengers stars coming together for a group video call to discuss a catchphrase for Harris. “It is our pleasure to come together and to get the vote out this election,” Gurira says in the video and suggests, “Kamala Forever” as her phrase, in tune with her ‘Black Panther’ chant ‘Wakanda Forever’. The cast put their heads together to come up with some catchy lines and phrases inspired by their superhero films. Eventually, they settle on “I’m Kamala Harris, and I’m down with democracy.”
Sharing the video, RDJ wrote, “Let’s #AssembleForDemocracy!!!”
“Don’t sit this one out. It’s the one where we will lose big: Project 2025, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, student debt relief, Affordable Care Act, Social Security, and as of today, life saving vaccines. This shit is real and it’s going to come for you,” Ruffalo wrote on Twitter.
The ‘Avengers’ cast now joins the latest list of celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker, Eminem, Andy Cohen, Madonna, Ben Stiller, Willie Nelson, Cher, Marc Anthony, Mariska Hargitay, Lizzo, Anne Hathaway, Neil Young, Dave Bautista, Jennifer Lawrence, Billie Eilish and more who have publically endorced Harris in the months leading up to the elections.
