Baba Siddique: When Baba Siddique worked his magical touch to end SRK and Salman Khan’s feud: ‘It was Allah, I had no role’
Veteran politician Baba Siddique, who lost his life in a recent shocking shooting incident in Mumbai, will be remembered all his life for his unique role in bridging political and Bollywood divides, especially in solving the infamous SRK-Salman feud.
Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was not only known for his political prowess but also for his legendary iftar parties that attracted top Bollywood stars.
One of his most famous involvements in the entertainment industry was the final resolution of the five-year feud between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

The rift between the two superstars began in 2008, following a heated argument at Katrina Kaif‘s birthday party. They literally avoided each other for nearly five years with one of the most infamous cold wars in Bollywood.
The turning point came in 2013, at Baba Siddique’s star-studded annual iftar celebration. Siddique, using his natural ability to bring people together, arranged seating that placed Shah Rukh Khan next to Salman’s father, Salim Khan. It was a moment that gave birth to one of the most historical moments in Bollywood.
As the two Bollywood stars came face-to-face, they embraced, with their hug going viral as the photo spread across media outlets, signaling the end of their feud. Fans rejoiced and Bollywood breathed a sigh of relief. However, though Siddique got credibility to have acted as a peacemaker, modestly he downplayed the achievement by saying, according to India Today, “They both wanted it. Allah shows the way. I had no role to play.”
Currently, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan can be even termed the ‘Best friends’ in Bollywood. Their recent appearances in the movies ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Tiger 3’, further highlight their bond.
