Chiranjeevi touches Amitabh Bachchan’s feet with respect at a recent award ceremony hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni’s family
Amitabh Bachchan recently honoured Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi at a prestigious award ceremony hosted by the Akkineni family. The event celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao.
During the emotional moment, Chiranjeevi touched Amitabh’s feet after receiving the award, and the Megastar was visibly moved. A video from the event shows Amitabh wrapping a shawl around Chiranjeevi and handing him a trophy. In return, Chiranjeevi humbly bowed to take Amitabh’s blessings, making it a heartwarming moment for everyone present.
Nagarjuna Akkineni, the host of the event, took pride in honoring these two stalwarts of Indian cinema. After the ceremony, Chiranjeevi shared a special picture on Instagram featuring himself alongside Amitabh and Nagarjuna.
Over the years, this prestigious award has recognized many icons, including Dev Anand, Lata Mangeshkar, Sridevi, Rekha, SS Rajamouli, and Vyjayantimala.
Speaking at the event, Amitabh expressed his joy in being connected with the Telugu film industry through his latest blockbuster ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘, directed by Nag Ashwin. With a playful tone, he urged Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna to keep supporting him and joked about getting more movie opportunities in Tollywood.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s next film, ‘Vishwambhara’, a fantasy drama, is expected to hit theaters on January 10, 2025.
Amitabh was recently seen in the Tamil film ‘Vettaiyan’, starring Rajinikanth. His Telugu movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, featuring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, became a massive hit this year, earning over Rs 1,000 crores globally at the box office.
