Dhananjay Munde: Dhananjay Munde Expands Family: Child Dependents Increase from Three to Five | Mumbai News

Mumbai: Agriculture minister Dhananjay Munde of the NCP has made a startling revelation in his election affidavit filed before the returning officer for the Parli constituency for the Nov 20 assembly elections. In his affidavit submitted on Oct 24, Munde stated that five children are dependent on him, while in the 2019 affidavit, he stated that three children were dependent on him.
In the 2019 affidavit, Munde submitted the names of Vaishnavi, Janhvi and Aditi as dependent children. In his new affidavit, along with these three children, two more names have been added as dependent children, Sishiv and Shivani.
In 2019, Munde (50) had defeated his cousin Pankaja from Beed assembly constituency by a large margin, having fought on the ticket of the undivided NCP. After Ajit Pawar raised a banner of revolt against the leadership of Sharad Pawar, Munde joined hands with him.
For the Nov 20 assembly elections, Munde will take on Sharad Pawar-led NCP’s Rajesaheb Deshmukh, a prominent Maratha in Marathwada.
Munde was a cabinet member in the Uddhav Thackeray govt too, before which he was leader of opposition in the legislative council.
