'Game of Thrones' movie is confirmed! HBO’s Casey Bloy addresses George R.R. Martin’s 'House of the Dragon' criticism: 'Sometimes it gets rocky' |

‘Game Of Thrones,’ is not just the name of a series but a revolution. With its gripping storyline, mind-blowing plot twists, visual appeal, and stellar performance, ‘Game Thrones’ has been one of the most loved series around the globe. That is one of the reasons why there is now going to be a potential ‘Game of Thrones’ movie as well. Last month the reports of the same came out and now HBO’s Casey Bloy has confirmed that though it is in the early stage, the movie is in the making.
According to Variety’s report, Bloys has confirmed that makers are reviewing the scripts and options. Once everything falls into place, they will consider whether to take the project to the theatres.
“They’re going to develop [an] idea. We’ll see if it’s good. We’ll read the scripts along with them. I think it could be fun and interesting. I mean, that’s the point of development, you see is there a story that’s worthy of being in theaters and a big spectacle? I think it would be fun,” said Casey Bloy.
Bloys further mentioned that George R.R. Martin is involved in the process of developing the potential movie. Speaking of Martin, he has been critical of certain story elements in the second season of House of the Dragon. In a post, that Martin later deleted, he talked about the creative changes and “butterfly effect” on later seasons. Regarding the disagreement and criticism, Casey Bloys said, “We love George, obviously. I want him to be happy. He’s very important to us. But when we put shows together, we’re putting marriages together. Marriage can be difficult, especially in the creative decisions of adapting work. Sometimes it gets rocky. Would I prefer that everybody get along? Of course, but it’s a creative process.“
So it appears that winter is coming!
