Anne Twist, the mother of former One Direction star Harry Styles, has expressed her heartbreak following the tragic death of fellow band mate Liam Payne.
The singer passed away at the age of 31 on Wednesday, after reportedly falling from his third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In the wake of the tragic news, Anne took to Instagram to share her reaction, posting a broken heart emoji and the words, “Just a boy …”

While Anne has publicly shared her sorrow, her son, Harry Styles and other former One Direction members, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson have not yet commented.

Meanwhile, numerous celebrities have paid tribute to Liam on social media, while fans have been reflecting on his music legacy.
According to the latest reports, although a cause of death will not be confirmed until an autopsy is performed, authorities believe that Liam died after suffering a “skull base fracture” after falling about 42 to 45 feet.

In the time leading up to Liam‘s death, it has been reported that police were called about “an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol” at the hotel.

An investigation into his death is ongoing.
