Jayasurya: Jayasurya meets Rishab Shetty; says “Kathanar meets Kanthara” - See photos |



Jayasurya and ‘Kantara’ star Rishab Shetty ran into each other at Mookambika temple in Mangalore during Vijayadashami/Dussehra. Jayasurya shared photos on October 14, and gave an interesting caption. In the photos, Jayasurya is dressed in a printed black shirt, teamed with a traditional dhoti. Rishab Shetty, on the other hand, sports a striped green kurta paired with a kasavu dhoti.

Jayasurya recently happened to run into ‘Kantara’ star Rishab Shetty. They met each other, while visiting the Mookambika temple in Kollur, Mangalore.
On Saturday, October 12, during the occasion of Vijayadashami/ Dussehra, Jayasurya paid a visit to the temple, and Rishab Shetty too had arrived to seek blessings.

In the pictures, Jayasurya is seen decked up in a printed black shirt, paired with a ethnic dhoti.Rishab Shetty on the other hand, was seen wearing a striped green kurta paired with a kasavu dhoti. They are seen engaged in a conversation. Interestingly, both the actors are seen flaunting their man pony and long beard look.
On Monday, October 14, Jayasurya dropped the pictures of his meeting with Rishab Shetty and captioned, “KATHANAR MEETS KANTHARA.” Jayasurya’s interesting wordplay is with reference to his upcoming fantasy horror film ‘Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer’.
Jayasurya’s ‘Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer’ directed by Rojin Thomas also features Anushka Shetty, and Prabhu Deva in crucial roles.
Meanwhile, Jayasurya was recently in the news in connection with a rape case filed by an Aluva-based female colleague, following the release of the Justice Hema Committee report. The committee was formed by the Kerala state government to study issues faced by women in the Malayalam filmr industry, and revealed shocking incidents of sexual assault and other exploitation and other problems faced by women.

On the other hand, Rishab Shetty is currently basking in glory of his National film award for ‘Kantara’. He was presented with the Best Actor in a Leading Role National Award for ‘Kantara (2022)’. Upon bagging the award, he said, “What started as a vision has turned into a journey filled with love, passion, and belief. Today, as we stand proud with the National Award, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.”
