JK Cement Q2 Results | Net profit declines 28% to ₹126 crore, revenue dips 7% to ₹2,560 crore
In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, JK Cement posted a net profit of ₹175.4 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations falls 7% to ₹2,560 crore as against ₹2,752.8 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
At the operating level, EBITDA slides 39.2% to ₹284 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹467 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

EBITDA margin stood at 11.1% in the reporting quarter as compared to 17% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.
In Q2 FY25, JK Cement reported a capacity utilisation of 64% for cement and 67% for clinker. The company faced production challenges due to a scheduled shutdown at its Muddapur facility, necessitating the purchase of clinker to maintain operations, impacting costs by approximately ₹10 crore.
Cement volumes for the quarter were recorded at 3.80 million tonne, down from 4.33 million tonne in Q1 FY25. Despite the volume decline, JK Cement improved its net sales realisation per ton to ₹4,708 from ₹4,669 in the previous quarter, attributed to strategic sales targeting high-realisation regions.

The results came after the close of the market hours. On October 25, shares of JK Cement Ltd ended at ₹4,147.20, down by ₹52.70, or 1.25% on the BSE.
