On the growing popularity of Ozempic, Dr Anjali Hooda, American Board certified Internal Medicine, IFM certified Functional Medicine Practitioner says, “Ozempic and Mounjaro are not magical wands, you have to understand that lifestyle has to change. There has to be weight training, there has to be ample proteins because when you do these shots you are bound to lose muscle and when you are looking at the weight scale you are not seeing a muscle loss you are seeing weight loss and if you don’t see what your muscle loss is when you stop these shots the weight is going to come right back.
She highlights the side effects of Ozempic which are not visible initially. The doctor says vomiting, diarrhea are the common side effects of the Ozempic or mounjaro drugs.
