Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited horror drama ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘, directed by Anees Bazmee. The movie is all set to hit theaters on November 1 and is expected to clash at the box office with Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Singham Again‘. In a recent chat, he addressed the box office failure of his film ‘Shehzada‘ in 2023.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kartik shared insights about the failure of ‘Shehzada’, which followed the box office success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.He has often reduced his fees or invested his own money to support his projects and help producers manage budgets. Following the massive success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, for which he lowered his fee to prevent overspending, he demonstrated his commitment by backing ‘Shehzada’. Nevertheless, his production debut ended up being a flop at the box office.

The actor openly discussed the failure of ‘Shehzada’, noting that the project faced challenges even before its release. He shared that he received producer credits for the film, which he initially declined but accepted after choosing to invest in certain aspects during production instead of taking his fees. Aaryan emphasized his desire to save his films, admitting, “I am selfish and greedy toward my film and my people,” and expressing his commitment to safeguarding his projects by any means necessary.The ‘Chandu Champion‘ actor emphasised the responsibility that comes with being an actor, stating that it extends beyond just performing. He believes actors should engage in the production and direction processes, including budgeting and outcomes. Aaryan highlighted the crucial role of producers, who invest significant money into projects, and stressed that actors have a duty to support and collaborate with them, recognizing the financial risks involved.
