Kartik Aaryan’s mother Mala Tiwari recalls the day he accidentally burned his sister’s hair: ‘Since Kartik did this, he got a beating’

Kartik Aaryan‘s mother, Mala Tiwari, recently shared another funny story about his childhood. After winning over audiences on The Great Indian Kapil Show. She recalled a time when young Kartik accidentally set his sister Kritika’s hair on fire while experimenting with a deodorant spray. The family was both shocked and amused by the incident.
In an interview with Galatta India, Mala Tiwari shared a story from Kartik Aaryan’s childhood that showed just how curious he was even as a young boy. She described how Kartik once noticed the flammable warning on a deodorant bottle and wanted to test it out. He convinced his sister Kritika to light a candle, then sprayed the deodorant through the flame, accidentally causing her hair to catch fire. Fortunately, they managed to put out the flames quickly, though Kartik faced some stern discipline afterward for his risky experiment.
Kartik further explained that he didn’t mean to burn his sister’s hair. She was just in the wrong place when the flames went up, and one side of her hair caught fire. He quickly threw water on her to put it out, but his mom was very angry with him afterward.
In addition, Kartik’s mother also shared some more memories about his early days balancing engineering studies in Mumbai with his acting dreams. She recalled that while studying for exams, Kartik would sometimes penned down parts of ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’s script. During that time, he was also shooting for ‘Aakash Vani’. He had bought a third-hand car and would drive from DY Patil University to his shoots, with her by his side, trying to help him ‘Beta, yeh important hai, yeh important hai.’ She’d then wait outside for three hours. Once, when she asked what he wrote, Kartik replied that he’d written Aakash Vani’s story. But, laughing, Kartik later clarified it was actually Punchnama 2’s story.
Kartik is currently basking in the success of his Diwali release ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, which has already crossed Rs 200 crore mark within two weeks of its theatrical run.
