The move comes in the wake of a US court indictment against Gautam Adani, his nephew Sagar Adani, and other officials. They stand accused of allegedly bribing Indian government officials to secure solar energy contracts. The indictment claims that Adani paid bribes amounting to over ₹2,000 crore, including ₹1,750 crore allegedly given to a senior official in the Andhra Pradesh government.
The Adani Group has denied all allegations, calling them baseless and asserting no wrongdoing.
