Man who threatened Salman Khan and demanded R 5 crore to resolve dispute with Lawrence Bishnoi apologizes to Mumbai Police: 'It was a mistake' - Report | Hindi Movie News

Bollywood actor Salman Khan was recently threatened in a message that demanded Rs 5 crore to resolve an ongoing dispute with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This message was sent to the WhatsApp number of the Mumbai Traffic Police‘s control room last week, and now the sender has reportedly apologized.
According to India Today, the person has now apologized to the Mumbai Police, stating that the message was sent by mistake.
Initially, the sender, who claimed to be linked to the Bishnoi gang, warned Salman that if the money wasn’t paid, he would face serious consequences, similar to politician Baba Siddique, who was shot and killed by attackers earlier this month.
Just a few days later, the same sender reportedly reached out to the Mumbai Traffic Police again, expressing regret and claiming the threatening message was sent by mistake. The police traced the sender’s location to Jharkhand and have dispatched a team to apprehend the individual.
Salman Khan has faced multiple threats from the Bishnoi gang in recent months. In April, gunmen fired shots near his home in Bandra.

The conflict between Salman and Lawrence Bishnoi dates back to a 1998 incident when Salman was accused of hunting and killing two blackbucks, which are sacred to the Bishnoi community. While this case is still in court, Bishnoi has vowed to take revenge on the actor.
Due to these escalating threats, Salman has been given Y+ security, and there is an increased police presence outside his residence, Galaxy Apartments. Additionally, the Mumbai Police have installed advanced AI-powered CCTV cameras with facial recognition technology to enhance his security.
