Nora Fatehi says she protested against wearing a tiny blouse in the ‘Dilbar’ song: ‘I get it, it is a s*xy song’
Nora Fatehi is known for her dance numbers ever since she came into the industry. She’s loved for her popular songs and moves that make every song so memorable for people to see. While Nora has developed that ‘glam’ image for herself, the actress has always been clear that she doesn’t want to be sexualised. Nora recalled an instance recently where she protested against wearing a really tiny blouse. This was during the shoot of ‘Dilbar‘ from ‘Satyamev Jayate’.
The song was a remixed version of the original ‘Dilbar’ song which featured Sushmita Sen. Nora revealed during a conversation at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne that she had protested against wearing a really tiny blouse for the song which they changed later. She said, “Don’t over-sexualise me. I get it, it is a s*xy song. We are all inherently s*xy, but we don’t need to get vulgar about it.”
Nora further revealed that it was alsoRamadan time when the movie was releasing. However, director Milap Zaveri makes fun of this incident at several parties still. But luckily Milap understood when she explained it to him with love, or else, Nora feared that she would be responded with ‘Who the hell do you think you are?’ as that’s how directors treat newcomers.
She said further, “To a lot of people it looks over s*xy, but for me, it was something I was comfortable wearing compared to what they were going to give me.” Nora said that she had a problem with showing too much cleavage for the song, but didn’t mind showing her stomach, owing to the nature of the song.
