Riddhima Kapoor Sahni opens up about the constant trolling faced by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt: 'People don’t see what we go through' | Hindi Movie News

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni has spoken out about the relentless scrutiny and trolling her family endures, particularly targeting her brother, Ranbir Kapoor, and his wife Alia Bhatt. Ranbir’s remarks are often misinterpreted, leading to misunderstandings, while Alia recently faced a storm of backlash over rumors of an alleged botched cosmetic procedure. A video circulated online, falsely claiming she had undergone a treatment that left her face partially paralyzed. In response, Alia dismissed the claims as “baseless” on Instagram, expressing her frustration with the invasive and false reports.
In a recent interview with News18, Riddhima, who has been praised for her appearance in Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, discussed the emotional impact these constant judgments have on her family. “There are judgments everywhere. People always find something to say. People assume it’s all about privilege, but they don’t see what we go through. I am proud and secure in my life. I have a beautiful family, a supportive husband, a lovely daughter, a brother, a sister-in-law. And I’m not apologetic for that,” Riddhima remarked.
Riddhima described her view of privilege as having a loving family and finding contentment in life, regardless of outside opinions. She noted that people often judge easily and are quick to criticize mistakes, yet seldom acknowledge or celebrate positive actions.

She expressed her concerns about the rise of negativity in online culture, noting how easily critics pounce on minor slip-ups. “We’re surrounded by so much negativity these days; it’s like a cycle. The smallest slip-up, and they’re ready to pounce. We need to change that culture,” she urged.

Alia recently took to Instagram to address the rumours, asserting, “Absolutely NO JUDGEMENT towards anyone who chooses cosmetic corrections or surgery – your body, your choice. But wow, this is beyond ridiculous!” She highlighted the harmful influence of such baseless stories, especially on young audiences. “What’s worse, you’re influencing young, impressionable minds who might actually believe this garbage,” she added, calling out the impact of such false narratives on public perception.
