Shah Rukh Khan heads to Dubai to join Ryan Reynolds for Global Freight Summit |
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday made a low-key appearance at the airport as he flew out of the city. According to reports, the actor is off to Dubai to join ‘Deadpool‘ star Ryan Reynolds as they headline the Global Freight Summit.
The high-profile event will bring together the Bollywood superstar and the Hollywood actor as they take the stage to address industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to explore opportunities.
Both SRK and Ryan are no strangers to business and innovation. While Shah Rukh has not only excelled in acting but has also ventured into production, entrepreneurship and even owns his cricket team, Ryan, apart from his blockbuster films, has established himself as a successful businessman with ventures such as a Gin brand, mobile network service, a film production company and even a football team.
Both actors and businessmen are expected to take the stage today and add their star-power to the big event.
While this will be their first on-stage meet-up, Ryan and SRK share a ‘Deadpool’ connection. In the 2018 film ‘Deadpool 2‘, the song ‘Yun Hi Chala Chal Raahi’ from Shah Rukh Khan’s critically-acclaimed 2004 film, ‘Swades’ plays in a scene where Deadpool, Cable, and Domino are in Dopinder’s taxi heading to their mission, when the song starts playing.
On the work front, after the box office success of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, Ryan will next be seen in ‘Animal Friends’ which is slated for a 2025 release. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen next in the movie ‘King’ that also stars daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
