Abhishek Bachchan who’s completed 24 years in the industry has come a long way since he made his debut with ‘Refugee’. However, the actor still remembers some things he was told before he started his career. In a recent interview with ETimes, while promoting his movie ‘I Want To Talk‘, Abhishek revealed that he deeply analysis his movies and always has his personal notes to refer to. When asked more about it, Abhishek shared one advice which he got from Shah Rukh Khan before he started his career.
The actor said, “Shah Rukh had told me before I became an actor. He told me two things that really stuck out. I remember my friend Uday and I were sitting in his garden. And Shah Rukh had come. We used to play cricket on Sunday. And after cricket, we used to all sit and just chat. Shah Rukh was talking to us because both Uday and I were about to start our films. He was doing Mohabbatein and I was doing Refugee. He said, ‘Iss duniya mein 2 kism ke actor hote hain (There are 2 kinds of actors in this world). One actor is running because dogs are chasing him. He is running for his life. The other actor is running because he loves running. He said, ‘Be the second one. Run, because you love running. Don’t run because there is some compulsion’.”
Abhishek further revealed how he incorporated this advice and made it memorable always be using it in his song ‘Right Here Right Now’ from ‘Bluffmaster‘. He added, “That’s why the end of my song ‘Right here, right now’, that was Uday and my mantra to each other. So I say at the end, ‘UC (Uday Chopra)- keep running home boy.’ So that’s why I said that. And that was such a wonderful thing to hear as an actor. That do things because you love doing it.”
