‘Stree 2’ star Shraddha Kapoor jumped at the movie ‘Naagin’ instantly, says Nikhil Dwivedi: ‘She can’t wait to start the shoot’ |

‘Woh stree hai, woh kuch bhi kar sakti hai,’ and the ‘Stree 2’ star Shraddha Kapoor next will be doing ‘Naagin.’ She will be playing the lead role in the movie, whose shoot is soon to go on the floor. The filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi in a recent interview shared a few insights about the movie and how excited Shraddha Kapoor is to get on board.
‘Naagin’ has been the talk of the town right from the word go. The script underwent a three-year journey, as there were multiple rewrites before being finalized, said Nikhil Dwivedi in his interview with India Today. For the movie, Shraddha will be seen playing the role of a shape-shifting snake and when the actress was approached for the part, she ‘jumped at it’.
“She was the first one to come on board. I approached her first with the idea, and she was sold. She can’t wait to start the shoot, now that the script is ready,” added Nikhil.
The movie is expected to go on the floor next year.
Meanwhile, Shraddha was also in talks for a special song in Allu Arjun’s Telugu action thriller ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule.’ However, reportedly the negotiations didn’t pan out, and Sreeleela finally landed the part.
Shraddha Kapoor is on a roll. Earlier, her movie ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkar’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor made her win appreciation and box office success, and her last film ‘Stree 2’ with Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and more, is still making headlines. It made and broke several records and Shraddha Kapoor’s work was highly appreciated. In one of her social media interactions with the fans, Shraddha also hinted at ‘Stree 3.’
