‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video‘ got mixed reviews upon its release and the film has thus had a lukewarm response at the box office, despite being a more mass oriented movie meant to work in two-tier, three-tier centres. The Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri, Mallika Sherawat starrer, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa is a comedy which was targeted for families, but the trade says that due to the film’s title, many thought that the movie is not kid-friendly or to be seen with family.That also would have affected the film’s business.

‘Vicky Vidya…’ made Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.60 crore on Sunday. However, it saw a drop from Monday onwards again and made in the range of Rs 1 crore. On Tuesday, which is day 12, the film clocked it Rs 1.10 crore. Thus, the total collection so far, according to Sacnilk, is Rs 35.50 crore. The movie has done better in Delhi and UP circuits but is quite dull in Mumbai. With this, ‘Vicky Vidya…’ has crossed the number of ‘Mr And Mrs Mahi’, but now of Rajkummar’s other movie ‘Srikanth Bolla’ which had done better.
It’s expected that ‘Vicky Vidya…’ may end up with a lifetime collection of around Rs 40 crore or slightly more than that. Meanwhile, ‘Jigra’ may struggle to even touch Rs 40 crore by the end of its run. Both these movies will still get more scope to perform as it’s an empty window at the box office till November 1, Diwali, when we shall see the big clash between ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa
