Vikrant Massey reveals his chase for wealth began after witnessing a disturbing incident at his father’s office: ‘That’s when I realised…’ |
Vikrant Massey recently talked about the earlier days of his life when his pursuit with money started after witnessing a disturbing incident occurring at his father’s workplace.
On the Mojo Story YouTube channel, Vikrant opened up about his father’s struggles. He shared how his father, once part of a well-off family, faced hardship following a family dispute in the 1970s that left him with little. Despite these challenges, his father worked hard to support their family of four, doing his best with what he had. Vikrant called it a classic tale of resilience, highlighting his father’s strength and dedication even in tough times.
Massey shared how growing up taught him the value of money and the respect it brings. Unlike his older brother, Vikrant was determined not to “compromise” in life. His focus on financial independence began at age 17, when he needed money urgently and went to his father’s office. This early experience shaped his drive to secure financial stability and led him to pursue wealth without sacrificing his principles.
The actor was waiting for a luxurious table and a cozy atmosphere, but there he found the table of his father in “ashtray piled up.” This incident was enough to disturb him. He admitted looking at his father’s condition and his eyes.
Vikrant shared that he felt the need for a “role reversal” in his life after experiencing financial struggles. A pivotal moment was when he became frustrated with wearing used clothing and shoes. While clothes weren’t as difficult to accept, wearing secondhand shoes left him feeling uncomfortable and determined to change his circumstances, as he could never fully remove the scent of someone else’s use, no matter how hard he scrubbed them. This sparked his resolve to pursue a life of greater financial independence.
Vikrant shared how he often lacked money to buy essentials like shoes. This experience led him to prioritize buying something small but new, like a T-shirt worth Rs. 100, as a way of maintaining a sense of pride and dignity despite financial hardships.
The Sabarmati Report is written and directed by Dheeraj Sarna. Along with Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra, the movie is also releasing on 15th November 2024.
