When Arjun Kapoor talked about completing a decade in Bollywood and his protective ‘big brother’ persona |
Arjun Kapoor once reminisced about his childhood and career memories. Recounting his school days, he disclosed that since cousins Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor were his classmates, he became the “big brother” for everyone in school.
In conversation with India Today, Arjun revealed that he had never faced difficulties in dealing with separated parents and, thus, derived comfort from the relationship he maintained with his sisters, Sonam and Rhea. “I became everybody’s brother…I was a safe guy,” he said, describing himself as a kind of protected individual.
The Kapoor family have always been a close-knit one. This was usually seen bonding during family functions and vacations. His relationship with his cousins in school was the most important one that helped Arjun take shape.
Speaking about his journey in Bollywood, Arjun, while completing 10 years in the industry, spoke about the incredible transformation he has undergone as well. As someone who weighed 140 kgs, he had lost almost 50 kgs before entering the film world. Ishaqzaade marked his debut in the cinema, where with which film Arjun proved his mettle as an actor.He shares his mantra: “Suno sabki, karo apni” (Listen to everybody and do what you like doing), which has kept him grounded in his career.
