1-year-old baby abandoned at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus | Mumbai News
Mumbai: A one-year-old baby was found abandoned, wrapped in cloth at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) early Wednesday morning.
Upon being alerted, Government Railway Police (GRP) officials rescued the baby and rushed it to the hospital.
The GRP also searched for the parents at LTT but were unable to find them.
Suspecting foul play, the police decided to examine the CCTV footage at LTT.The cameras captured a woman abandoning the baby in the passage near Gate No. 3 at 4:15 a.m.
An FIR has been registered against her under provisions of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita for abandonment, and a manhunt has been launched.
