Elon Musk is looking for a Hindi AI tutor and the job pays ₹5400 per hour
The role, titled ‘AI Tutor – Bilingual (Full-Time)’, is a fully remote, temporary position lasting up to six months. Candidates will undergo a rigorous interview process, including an assessment of their English proficiency in both spoken and written forms.
xAI is hiring tutors proficient in languages such as Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, German, Russian, Italian, French, Arabic, Indonesian, Turkish, Hindi, Persian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Tutors will have to specialise in one or more of these languages.
According to the job description, the primary responsibility involves generating high-quality, accurately labelled data to improve AI models in both English and an additional language.
Tutors will collaborate with the technical team to create datasets for model training and benchmarking. This will involve working with proprietary software to input and label language-specific data, ensuring that it meets high-quality standards while addressing language nuances.
The role also includes participating in writing projects aimed at enhancing xAI’s generative AI models and collaborating on the design of annotation tools to improve data handling processes.
The candidate needs to be proficient in both English and additional language, in spoken and written form, across informal and professional contexts. They must have strong research skills, and the ability to navigate various sources of information, databases, and online resources in both English and additional language are essential.
They should possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills, particularly in a cultural context. An expert level of reading comprehension in English and the additional language and the ability to make informed judgments with limited data, is also a must.
According to the recruiter, some with a background in technical writing, journalism, or professional writing with a focus on one or more of the above languages would be a good fit for the role. Alongside, the candidate must have a strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation.
xAI has also mentioned that the pay for this role may range from $35/hour – $65/hr and, for full-time roles, benefits will include medical, vision, dental, STD, LTD and life insurance.
This is a fully remote position. Team members are expected to work from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm PST for the first two weeks of training and 9:00am – 5:30pm in their own timezone thereafter, the company said.
